This handbook has been aimed as a ready reckoner for those who are involved in research and want to understand the basic nitty-gritties of ethical aspects of research. Apart of Indian council of Medical Research’s Guidelines for Biomedical Researcher 2017, which does cover certain aspects of ethics in research, there are virtually no texts which cater to this important issue research. As part of the Physicians Research Foundation (PRF), with the PRF aiming to promote research, this venture of bringing out this handbook on “Ethics in Clinical Research” is first of its kind, and the authors and editors hope that this first edition will pave the way for periodic future editions
